Dear Himitsu:

Oh, Himitsu!  I've had the most wonderful past few days! Oh, its my birthday today... I've just turned 12 years old. ^-^ I got this really nice pen set from papa, and this adorable little hummingbird stature from someone special... *sigh*

You see, the day before yesterday, I was still feeling a little depressed like I was a few days ago when I wrote you. So, I went down the the park and sat down on my favorite bench to read like usual. A few chapters later, I felt the winds changing which usually meant a storm was comming. I got up to go home, and only a few steps later, this really nice boy stopped me. He was so shy, it was soo cute!  (umm... of course, he was probably acting so shy because I was staring at him unable to move since someone actually talked to me politely! I was probably going to burn a hole through his head if I stayed like that any longer). Anyway, he was so nice! He told me he saw me almost every day at the park and was wondering why I was always alone. He told me (which totally blew me out of orbit!) that he was wondering because a pretty girl like myself would never be alone. *blush* I felt like I was going to faint! He asked me where I was going, and when I told him, he offered to walk me home. At this point, I was in a daze like I was in some dream... I was literally waiting to see when I'd wake up. But the most wonderful part is, that I never did wake up! This was all for real! We had some small talk (which was really big talk to me! This was probably the first polite, sincere converstation I've had with someone for over 6 months!) It turns out, he goes to a different school than I do (and it happens that we're in the same grade!)... which is just as well, since he doesn't hear any awful rumors about me that goes around at my school. I feel so happy!

Sorry for not writing this to you, Himitsu! ^-^* I was so excited when I got back home that day, I feel right asleep! The day after I met him, I rushed to the park again to see if he was there, and he was!  He was at my favorite bench waiting for me! This is like a dream come true! He took me to the fountain at the park and showed me how to skip little rocks and pennies (yen) across the water... it was so much fun!

But today, was really great! As I said, he bought me this wonderful little hummingbird statue! I had told him yesterday that my birthday was on the 6th, and he went out and got me a little something! Its made out of beautiful blown glass, and its about 1.5" tall. Its so adorable! I was so shocked when he handed me a tiny little box while saying,"Happy Birthday, Hotaru-chan!" He said my name like a friend! I think I just might die from happyness! Tomorrow, we're meeting at the park again. I hope to find out his birthday, so I can return the favor (he doesn't know just how much this means to me!)
